Ideal for liveaboard or offshore
Markenurh is a 40-foot Mason-designed center cockpit
ketch. Launched in 1973, she has had major refits in 1994-95 and
2002-03. A South Pacific veteran, she has voyaged as far as Tonga.
Fully equipped for offshore, she was heavily built of fiberglass
with Airex foam core and strongly rigged with 3/8" s.s. rigging
on main and 5/8" on mizzen mast. She has only 300 hours on
her new Isuzu 70 hp diesel. Belowdecks she boasts a bautiful Honduras
mahogany interior. Her full suite of electronics includes LCD radar,
Autohelm 7000, wind, knot, depth, repeater, GPS Map, and SSB/Ham
radio. Safety equipment includes a deck-mounted Beaufort cannister
liferaft, EPIRB, parachute sea acher, full jack lines. Other equipment
includes PUR watermaker, 1,200-watt Lofrans Tigres windlass, AM/FM
cassette stereo with 10-CD changer and 8 speakers. Alternjative
energy includes twewo 800-watt solar panels and Rutland wind generator.
